Overview: For my first major project at MLB, I was tasked with redesigning the single game ticket pages across all 30 teams. This was part of a larger effort to modernize MLB’s ticketing experience and make purchasing a game ticket easier for fans.
Why did we do this?
Prior to the redesign, these single game ticket pages had 2 distinct problems to solve:
Fans had limited visibility into promotions, theme nights, and giveaways. Because of this, fans were unaware of what they could be missing at certain games.
A visually outdated interface made it difficult to see important game information, such as opponent, time, date, and venue.
What needed to change
We decided in 2022 it was time to finally redesign this old, outdated page. It desperately needed a fresh coat of paint for the 2023 baseball season. Overall, our goal was this to provide fans with more clarity of what games they were purchasing so they can make more informed decisions on which game to attend.
We ended up going live with an experience that is visually fresh, but also fixes information hierarchy, and promotion visibility we didn’t have with the old one.
